OUR COMMUNITY
DESERVES A VOICE
Our district holds some of the most important buildings in Sumner County, like the county courthouse, county jail, and Highpoint Health hospital, but we've gone without a real voice on the County Commission for more than a decade. When I'm elected to the commission our community will finally have a voice, and the people within our community will have an outlet to voice their concerns.
A VOICE OF EXPERIENCE
When millions of taxpayer dollars are at stake, deliberate and decisive leadership is crucial. I've spent years on collegiate student governments, leading governing boards, planning large budgets, and working with diverse interest groups to achieve common goals. I have the experience necessary to lead our district at the county level, but more importantly, to include our community in the process.
A VOICE OF AWARENESS
Good leadership depends on knowing who you're leading, and that can't happen without talking to the community to hear what they need. It's important to me to be aware of what is happening within our community, how it's being affected at the county level, and what the people that live here feel is the right decision to make.
A VOICE FOR EVERYONE
Diversity is the necessary environment for growth and progress. Without diversity things stagnate and weaknesses form and for our county that means delays for public infrastructure, a slower economy, unhappier citizens, and the list keeps going. My leadership for our district will include as many voices and perspectives as beneficial so that we can make the best decisions together for our community.

RORY EDMONDS
Rory Edmonds grew up in a small rural community that feels a lot like what Sumner County used to be — and in many ways, still wants to be. That background gave him a deep appreciation for the close-knit character that long-time residents hold onto, even as the county grows rapidly. For Rory, responsible development means bringing opportunity without erasing what makes this place worth living in.
Rory brings real governance experience as a former Vice President of a community college Board of Directors, combined with a professional background managing contracts, budgets, and people. He is currently partnering with local organizations on food access and youth programming initiatives, and is an active member of the Episcopal Church.
As Sumner County grows, Rory's top priority is ensuring emergency services and first responders have the funding to keep pace. He is running because every resident deserves a voice on the Commission — and right now, too many don't have one.
